Health and Wellness

Dear Friend,

I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. 3 John 1:2 (NLT)

To be healthy and well is more than just having a fit body. It encompasses everything about you: your mental health, physical health, and spiritual health together. John was writing this letter to a leader of a church in Asia Minor. He genuinely cared that he was in good health spiritually, physically, and mentally. Only then would this leader be able to minister to the people. So how do you invest in your whole health so you can minister and live your life as a testimony to the Lord?

First, spend time daily in the Word. When you spend time getting to know the heart of God, you will help both your mental health and your spiritual health. Next, set some goals to also invest in your physical health, whether walking each day, joining a gym, or eating better. Finally, pray every day for God to help you stay healthy in every way so you can better serve Him!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for creating me. Help me stay motivated to keep my mind focused on you, my relationship connected, and my body healthy so I can serve you every day. Amen.
